Consisting of an initial analysis, developing the strategic and tactical plans while forming an “Action Playbook” and then assisting the hotel in the execution of the plan. Working with the owners and senior team is essential to unlock the potential of individuals in the team to assist in unlocking the performance potential of the business. Analysis of sales, marketing, revenue management, eCommerce, positioning, branding and PR and identifying the gaps to optimum performance.
Individuals, that have invested or are looking to invest or operate, that typically lack hotel expertise who are seeking support and an A-Z approach to ensuring the asset is profitable. This can also take the form of operational support for a period of time while the team undergo training and development.
Provide various business models identifying what can be done to improve the offering by looking into, and working with, all departments and their staff including the management team from the top down to create bespoke action plans to each individual business. In-depth research and intelligence to have a full understanding of the competitive set data resulting in potential of a hotel profit.
Hotel assets that are bank owned or distressed and are seeking support to turn the assets around or to maintain and increase the asset while it is being held or sold by the bank.
We visit you at your business and listen to you. If required we offer a six day initial analysis where we can then report to you our finding and recommendations. This is charged to you at our cost price. For this initial analysis we need access to the business and will work directly with the operational teams in their departments while they are on duty.
Beginning with the reception and reservations team looking at the past weeks business and the plans for the weeks and months ahead.
Here we'd be with housekeeping from departure of guest to arrival of new guests. We'd then focus on cleaning costs and planning, then take a walk of the building with the maintenance team.
With the restaurant team for dinner service including kitchen prep and delivery of foods and then spend time with the night audit and night porters during the night shift.
Focusing on breakfast from set up to service and then the lunch team and bar staff. In the afternoon we'd review all the statutory regulation paperwork and ensure it is in place and order.
Here we'd spend the morning with the accounts departments reviewing reports and revenue management for all departments in the hotel. We'd look at the years P&L compared with the planned budget / forecast. Friday night invloves overseeing arrivals with the front of house staff and if an event is being hosted then staying with them into the evening.
Saturday we'd be working with the operational team as they work through the day.
Sunday is off.
Monday, we write up our findings and Tuesday we sit with you and report our findings to you.
From the start you might not want us, but you know you need support, so we will be with you. When you get to know us, and we have supported you and your business is moving in the right direction, you might want us to stay but this is the time for us to leave.
We will however never leave you completely and we will contact you every month to have a chat and offer support if it is needed, we are only a phone call away. Every three months we will spend the day with you, at no cost to you, to review your business where we can offer support and advice as required.
